외항사 자료는 국내항공사만큼 공식화된 자료가 흔치 않아서 찾아보는데 힘드셨죠?

외항사는 모두 100%영어면접으로 진행되고 항공사마다 약간씩 차이가 있습니다.

싱가폴 항공은 비디오면접에서 마지막 단계에 읽기 테스트가 나옵니다. 카타르, 에미레이트 항공도 면접관에 따라서 중간 중간 읽기 테스를 시킬때도 있습니다. 영어 문장을 자연스럽게 읽는 단계는 기본만 해도 넘어가는 부분입니다. 어색하거나 잘못읽어서 잘 되고 있는 면접을 망치기에는 너무 아까운 파트입니다. 

 

영어회화도, 듣기도, 테스트도 아닌 단순한 보고 읽는 리딩테스트는 반드시 미리 연습하고 면접에서 쉬어가는 단계라고 할수 있도록 아래 예시 지문을 소개하겠습니다.

리딩테스트에 나오는 읽기 지문은 미국 6-7학년 단계의 수준에 글입니다. 초, 중학교를 졸업했으면 누구나 읽을수 있는 수준입니다. 다만, 한번도 안봤던 단어라던지 면접 분위기에 압도당해서 충분히 실수할수 있습니다. 주로 나오는 지문은 승무원에게 꼭 필요한 지식에 관련된 글이나 안전에 관한 글, 고객응대에 관한 에피소드 및 승무원의 기본적인 의무와 책임에 관한 글입니다. 더 수준 높은 단계의 전문적인 지식에 관한 내용은 나오지 않으니 위에 글 수준정로만 연습하시면 면접 뿐만 아니라 승무원이 되어서도 회사 교육에서도 어려운부분은 크게 없습니다.
